After a successful Portugal, the Sachsenring awaits Enge

After the accident at the Slovakia Ring , Enge was expected to start a week later in a Camaro GT3 at the Nürburgring , and then the team flew to an extraordinary race in Portugal . "The project to launch an orange Lamborghini at the Blancpain Sprint Series actually came about very quickly, namely at the Slovakia Ring, where I crashed. The team had one week to build a new car, which they did. However, without trying it, we went straight to the Algarve, where the journey from Germany takes over two and a half days. It wasn't easy, but Rusinov and I showed right away in practice that we could handle everything when we won one and were fourth in the other, " said Tomáš Enge , who after a week's break is heading to the next ADAC GT Masters race at the Sachsenring.

In the Portuguese qualification, the Liberec racer took pole position, so there was a big reason to be happy. "It was sensational. Everything went 100%. But right away in the qualifying race we didn't have the settings for the current heat, so we were a bit slower. In the end, it was the sixth place. In the main race, we got to third position after the start, but a delay in the pits dropped us to the bottom of the top ten. I then dropped it to fifth place and after the disqualification of one of the opponents, we moved up one more position. It was definitely a successful race," recalls Enge about the race weekend in Portugal and continues. "We are now leaving for the Sachsenring, which fans know well from, for example, MotoGP races. It will be something completely new for us, because we have never driven a Camaro GT3 on such a winding track. However, we believe in points and a top ten finish. We're definitely up to it. With this, I would also like to invite the fans to Germany, because the circuit is only one hundred and fifty kilometers from Prague."

The race weekend at the Sachsenring of the ADAC GT Masters series traditionally starts on Friday, with two free practice sessions and two qualifications waiting for the drivers. On Saturday and Sunday, there is one hour race each.
