After the Mercedes S 63 AMG Coupé comes another level of technical excellence in Stuttgart engineering. However, Mercedes will pay dearly for the spectacular S 65 AMG Coupé .
For 244,009.50 euros (approx. 6,695,000 CZK) the customer gets a six-liter V12 engine with a pair of turbochargers , which, like in the same motorized sedan, produces 630 horsepower and a monstrous torque of 1,000 Nm ! This herd is transmitted to the rear wheels using the seven-speed AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-Ttronic automatic and allows the luxury coupe to accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and a maximum speed limited to 250 km/h (for an additional fee, however, you can unlock the limiter and continue up to 300 km/h). Just for the record, I will also mention the consumption, which is on paper at the level of 11.9 l/100 km.
In terms of design, the S 65 AMG Coupé differs from its weaker sibling with a different filling of the radiator grille and intake holes in the front bumper, unique 20-inch wheels with 255/40 R20 front and 285/35 R20 tires, a new rear diffuser and yellow disc brake calipers. which can be carbon-ceramic for an additional fee.
Like its siblings, the chassis is equipped with the Magic Body Control system , working with a camera installed in the windshield, thanks to which the car can adjust the characteristics of the chassis before the car hits the road. The system also includes a damper deflection function for better cornering. Mercedes was able to save 20 kg by using a lithium-ion battery , replacing the backup and starter battery.
