The British premium car manufacturer Jaguar has been doing relatively well recently, which will ultimately benefit us – fans and potential customers. The management of the brand has officially announced that every future model in the offer will get a sharp variant .
With this move, Jaguar wants to take on German competitors represented by the BMW M , Audi Quattro and Mercedes-Benz AMG divisions. Currently, the British brand offers three versions of its powerful models – R , RS and RS GT . According to the official statement, the " R " brand carries luxury cars with high performance, the " RS " indicates cars with uncompromising road performance and the highest " RS GT " cars have technology derived from circuit specials.
Of course, not every model will get all three versions. For example, the recently introduced Jaguar XJR will not see a more powerful variant, there simply isn't enough demand for it. On the contrary, the F-Type model will get all three sharp versions. The planned middle-class sedan and the crossover derived from it will receive the basic " R " at the beginning, we will see more powerful variants depending on customer interest.
However, what the sharp version of the Jaguars will power is not entirely certain. Due to pressure to reduce emissions, the manufacturer will eventually have to phase out V8 engines and superchargers . However, this will not happen until the brand finds an adequate replacement.
