Audi produced 500,000 units of the TT

500,000 cars of one model series produced is an achievement. And exactly that kind of success was achieved by Audi with the TT model . To celebrate this historic milestone, the Ingolstadt carmaker prepared a special Competition edition .

The base of the new edition was the sporty TTS model , both in coupe and Roadster versions. The Competition is available in only two colors – Nimbus gray and Imola yellow . Both shades are always complemented by nineteen-inch wheels with 225/35 tires and a discreet rear spoiler. The yellow color also appears in the interior, specifically on the stitching of the leather seats. There is an edition mark with the number of the manufactured model.

Under the hood is a standard turbocharged 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder petrol engine with 272 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. Combined with the six-speed S tronic automatic, the coupé accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.3 s (0.2 s slower with the manual) and consumes 7.9 l/100 km (0.2 l/100 km thirstier with the manual ). With the same gearbox, the Roadster accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.5 s (0.2 s slower with the manual) and consumes 7.9 l/100 km (0.2 l/100 km thirstier with the manual).

The production of both bodies, which will be limited to 500 manufactured pieces , will start in October this year for an as yet unspecified base price.
