Lamborghini is preparing a successor to the Gallardo

The current Gallardo is officially the oldest Lamborghini on the market. But this statement will be a thing of the past very soon – because Lamborghini is preparing a successor , which will be called Cabrera .

The future appearance of the small sports car is shown by renderings that come from German colleagues at Auto Bild . They were inspired by the last, strictly limited models of the brand – Sestu Elementu and Venen . Inspiration from the larger Aventador is also visible.

The Cabrera will be based on a chassis that will use a lot of aluminum and carbon. Following the example of the Sesta Element, the automaker will try to lighten the Cabrera as much as possible.

The engine could be powered by a ten-cylinder engine with a volume of 5.2 liters and an output of around 600 horsepower. In the basic configuration, the power will be sent to the rear wheels, for an additional fee it will be possible to choose all-wheel drive.

We will see the Ferrari 458 competitor concept in a few weeks in Frankfurt . We will most likely see the serial version next year in Geneva.
