Jaguar revealed an interesting speedster at Goodwood

At the ongoing Goodwood Festival of Speed, Jaguar presented its latest concept called Project 7 . This is a racing roadster that combines the most important features of an aristocratic car manufacturer. The entire Project 7 car is technically based on the new Jaguar F-Type and is inspired by the legendary D-Type . The look goes back to the years 1951-1990, during which Jaguar triumphed seven times in the famous Le Mans race.

Under the hood of the concept works a five-liter V8 with an output of 550 horsepower and a torque of 680Nm. Thanks to these values and the eight-speed Quickshift transmission, the sprint to 100 km/h is a matter of 4.2 seconds and the maximum speed is 300 km/h. A sporty chassis and an electronic rear differential support the aggressive driving. A modified exhaust system takes care of the breath-taking sound.

The body of the concept is all aluminum and the body uses a number of carbon aerodynamic accessories. The wheels measure 20 inches and wear powerful Pirelli P Zero tires. The cabin features diamond-stitched leather and the passenger seat is replaced by a specially designed driver's helmet holder.

Jaguar's global head of brand, Adrian Hallmark , said of the concept: "Jaguar's sporting bloodline and innovative ambitions are perfectly embodied by the Project 7 , not only through its sensual design, but also through its fearsome capabilities. Introducing Project 7 at Goodwood gave us the opportunity to showcase the creativity of our design and engineering team."
