Together with Pininfarina, BMW recalls the 850i

If we delve into the history of the Munich-based car company, we will find that the last time it had a sports coupe with a twelve- cylinder engine in its portfolio was at the end of the last decade. Yes, we mean the 8 Series, or the 850Ci or 850CSi models . It is this period that BMW remembers at this year's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, where the Gran Lusso Coupé concept will be presented on May 24, 2013 .

The mentioned concept was created in cooperation with the Italian design studio Pininfarina and thus follows in the footsteps of the special BMW Z4 Zagato , which was presented last year at the same place as the elegant Gran Lusso coupe awaits this year. The brand's press statement states: "The Gran Lusso is a one-off model and at first glance it exudes modern elements and Italian exclusivity."

In addition to these findings, BMW also published the first cropped photos, as it is keeping the rest until the official premiere. However, under the hood, a turbocharged 6.0 -liter twelve-cylinder engine with an output of 542 horsepower is expected, which can also be found in the BMW 760Li . We're already looking forward to the full images as it looks damn good!
