BMW M3 F80 – Spy photos from the Ring

We have all been waiting for the new BMW M3 F80 for a very long time and unfortunately, we immediately learn about the presence of a turbocharged power unit in the first batch of information . To the majority's disappointment and insidious joy of "green brains", the entire engine range of the new 3 series will be composed of blown aggregates. What to pay, we can finally be happy that there won't be a new M3 hybrid…

In any case, the development is still hard at work, and this fact is well documented by the spy photos from the Northern Loop . However, it didn't just stop at pictures, which you can see for yourself very quickly in our VIDEOS section. So don't hesitate to click and listen to the piercing sound of the new six-cylinder engine.

All that remains is to complete the confirmed message. The new BMW M3 F80 gets a fork-shaped three-liter six-cylinder engine with twin-scroll supercharging under the hood. In addition to certainly excellent fuel consumption (who cares about the M3?!) we can count on a maximum power of 320 kW and a torque of 548 Nm. The previous M3 with an atmospheric eight-cylinder reached 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, the new model will push the limit a little further. As always, the maximum speed will be electronically limited to 250 km/h.
