A new but still classic Porsche 911

It's a really nice feeling to know that even in today's hectic times, there is still someone who cares about legends on four wheels and tries to keep them alive. One such reincarnation was also attempted by the Californian company Singer Design , which chose the classic Porsche 911 . Well, how did it turn out? In a word, excellent!

The basis of the modification are models from the years 1969-1994, which are completely stripped until only part of the chassis, pillars and roof line remain. The new fairing is covered by parts made of carbon fiber, but also by classic steel, which was used to make the new doors. At the back of the car, we see a decent pressure wing, which is even active and extends and creates downforce as the speed increases.

Let's face it. A layman would probably not recognize that there is actually a completely new car standing in front of him. Perhaps according to xenon headlights, fog lights and a new front bumper. Singer really did a great job. But what about the technology?

The heart of the entire car is a 3.8-liter six-cylinder, which has new pistons, a crankshaft from the 997 GT3 model, or, for example, titanium connecting rods. Singer will offer three performance levels. The base will be 223 kW (300 hp), followed by a version with 268 kW (360 hp) and the top will be 317 kW (425 hp) and 450 Nm of torque. The car with a weight of around 1100 kg can sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, while the maximum speed is 274 km/h.

There is also a completely new adaptive chassis with Bilstein sports shock absorbers and, above all, a Brembo brake system with drilled discs. These are hidden behind 17″ forged aluminum wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires.

The interior is dominated by Recaro leather sports seats, which are made in a retro style and thus copy the original ones from the 70s. The dashboard is dominated by the original Blaupunkt radio, Carrera RS steering wheel and Tag Heuer stopwatch. Other options for personalizing the interior include ordering, for example, satellite navigation, leather upholstery and carbon fiber accessories. However, they do not fit this car very well.
