Wraith – a new addition to the British car company

Before the very premiere of the new model, derived from the Ghost model , the Rolls-Royce car company gradually published teasers . Of course, there were also illustrations of the new coupe. The new Rolls-Royce Wraith , which is essentially a Ghost Coupé , was presented at the eighty-third Geneva Motor Show .

The aristocratic Wraith is based on the Ghost limo, from the nose to the A-pillars. After that, there are only two large doors and a sloping fastback roof. Compared to the Ghost model, it is 130 mm shorter, 40 mm wider and 43 mm lower. The wheelbase was reduced by 183 mm. The interior features four seats, wood trim, leather upholstery, metal accents, and a ceiling with diodes in the style of a starry sky.

In the engine compartment there is a 6.6 -liter twin-turbocharged twelve-cylinder engine with an output of 624 horsepower and a torque of 800 Nm. Mated to the engine is an eight-speed automatic transmission that will use GPS data to determine if it's using the correct gear for the trip. The luxury coupe accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds . To improve grip, engineers stiffened the suspension and added a new control system that changes its resistance depending on the car's speed. Owners won't be trading it in for a Lotus Elise, but the Wraith looked relatively capable when tested at the Nürburgring.

The Rolls-Royce Wraith should go on sale on the British market this fall, and the price will start at around 215,000 pounds (approx. 6.3 million crowns).
