The Corvette C7 Stingray Cabrio will be unveiled in a month

We recently mentioned the first indications that the open version will make its debut in Geneva. And indeed it is! The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible will make its world premiere on March 5 at the Geneva Motor Show.

"We feel it is fitting to introduce the new Stingray convertible at the world-renowned Geneva Motor Show, as the Corvette is the global face of the Chevrolet brand," said Susan Docherty, President and CEO of Chevrolet and Cadillac Europe. "It has long been a recognized and admired icon even in countries where it has never been officially sold."

There are currently Corvette owner and fan clubs in over 100 countries . In fact, 58 percent of the 1.1 million fans who "like" Corvette 's official Facebook page are from outside the US. The Corvette Stingray convertible will bring the same balance of technology, design and performance as the coupe , unveiled in January at the Detroit Auto Show.

“Every Corvette is also designed from the ground up as an open car,” said Tadge Juechter, Corvette Chief Engineer. "The new Stingray is no exception, both the coupe and convertible are designed to excel in any situation – whether it's daily driving, cross-continental trips or sharp driving on twisty roads."
