A video showing how cars are tested against common faults

Probably everyone recognizes it from time to time – when parking, you hit the curb , close the door carelessly or drive at high speed over a series of bumps. You may be surprised that manufacturers think about these situations as well, at least when it comes to Volkswagen .

The video, which you can watch below, is no longer up-to-date, but it gives a fairly accurate insight into the pitfalls of everyday car use and also says that the cars of the German manufacturer are ready for it. However, who has ever happened to carelessly hit a bump in the road , misjudged the braking point before a lot of bumps, or suddenly moved the seat forward or backward. The more skilled ones may have managed to park on a pile of sand or gravel or hit a pothole on a dirt road.

Whether the German manufacturer still tests this way today is a question. Since the time since the beginning of production of the New Beetle or the fourth Golf has advanced somewhat, I bet there is some computer program for similar situations today. At least for the flying VW Transporter T4 , though, it's worth watching until the end!
