The new McLaren 12C GT Can-Am Edition heads to the race track

Try as I might, every time I look at the new McLaren 12C GT Can-Am Edition , I see a rocket with an incredible design as if from a futuristic movie, which will be a very pleasant addition to the world circuits from next year.

However, don't really expect any ready-to-wear in this case. The sports car, which will start production next spring, will be created in a limited edition of only 30 pieces, each of which will cost 375 thousand pounds, which is roughly 11.7 million crowns.

This is not exactly a little, but customers really get a lot for their money. Above all, a fork eight-cylinder with a displacement of 3.8 liters doped with a pair of turbochargers with an optimized cooling system and a new intake, tuned to an output of 470 kW (630 hp). Furthermore, an aerodynamic package including, among other things, a giant rear pressure wing made of carbon that increases downforce by as much as 30%, a new front hood, front bumper, new exterior mirror covers, side skirts and a rear diffuser.

You really won't find luxury, selected materials, GPS navigation and a powerful audio system inside the car. Everything in this case is subject to the function and regulations of the FIA. We can see a racing cockpit with a pair of seats with six-point seat belts, a multifunctional steering wheel from the GT3 version, a protective frame and a fire extinguisher system. On the other hand, at least the air conditioning has found its place here.
