Skoda won the Rally Islas Canarias for the fourth time in a row!

The Skoda Motorsport team won the Islas Canarias Rally for the fourth time in a row, Jan Kopecký added his third local victory to his collection and thus completed a hat trick at this competition. Together with Pavel Dresler, he celebrates his second victory in his second start in this year's European Championship and leads the ERC ranking .

Canarian hat-trick holder Jan Kopecký does not hide his enthusiasm: "The local rally is one of our most popular ever. Quality surface, wonderful tracks, lots of fans. Skoda won here for the fourth time in a row, of which our crew won three times. Great move! Pavel and I thank the whole team for a perfectly prepared car."

Jan Kopecký defended last year's victory at Rally Islas Canarias and, together with the championship from 2010, is celebrating a Canarian hat-trick. Skoda won here for the fourth time in a row, and the local competition thus became the most successful rally in the history of the Fabia Super 2000 project and the entire Skoda brand.

Jan Kopecký and Pavel Dresler won the opening event of this year's ERC – the Austrian Jänner rally and after the victory in Las Palmas they came to the top of the ranking. In the Canary Islands, Craig Breen finished second with a Peugeot, and home pilot Luis Monzón finished third in a Mini.

The European Championship continues on 25-27 April, the fourth competition on the largest of the Azores islands, Sao Miguel.
