Skoda unveiled the VisionC concept

The Geneva Motor Show will witness the premiere of probably the most imaginative Skoda car in recent years. The green coupe with five-door body VisionC is characterized by an attractive design and economical drive.

Update 03/04/2014: Skoda has published more photos that show not only the real car, but also the interior of the green concept for the first time.

According to Skoda, the body should offer a new expressive, dynamic and emotional design . According to Skoda, the "alternation of soft, slightly contoured, concave and convex surfaces and sharp, precise lines" is unmistakable. The most interesting is certainly the rendering of the front and rear headlights. For the first time ever, we see triangular front lights and very narrow rear lights on a Skoda.

The interior will offer space for four passengers and their luggage . Its main feature is a digital instrument panel with 3D graphics and a touchscreen multimedia system. Similar to the Octavia, the VisionC is based on the MQB modular platform . This, at first glance, inconspicuous detail gives potential buyers a slightly better chance of serial production of the model .

Anyone expecting a six-cylinder from the Volkswagen workshops under the hood will most likely be disappointed. The VisionC shares a powertrain with the eco-friendly Octavia G-Tec , which will also make its debut in Geneva. In practice, this means a turbocharged four-cylinder 1.4 TSI engine with an output of 110 hp , which is capable of burning CNG natural gas in addition to gasoline. When running on natural gas, the car consumes only 3.4 kg of natural gas per 100 kilometers, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of just 91 g/km.
