Six seven-seater cars under one hundred thousand crowns

In the section "Buying tips" we usually write about unique super sports or well-preserved young/oldtimers . However, before a person gets the car of his dreams, it is usually preceded by starting a family . And in order to have as much money as possible for the later hobby, you need to buy the cheapest family stagecoach. And we will look at exactly six such cars right now. Footnote – all of them can be purchased for under 100,000 crowns .

Toyota Previa (1990-2000)

The first generation of the Japanese MPV stands out above all for its durability and spaciousness. Even if you find a piece with higher mileage, there is a good chance that it will still have a lot more miles on it. The sea of space is also evidenced by the fact that it is the only car in the overview that can carry eight passengers ! The power units are mostly, like the whole car, built for high mileage and consume relatively little operating fluids, moreover, they are unique because of their central location . Your interest in the Previa can be ruined by basically only three things – contradictory design, sometimes creaky interior and a desperately narrow offer in the Czech bazaar waters.

Land Rover Discovery 2 (1998–2003)

That only MPVs must have seven seats ? A mistake that, among other things, is refuted by the Land Rover Discovery of the second generation, which, compared to the first generation, has the sixth and seventh seats, classically as a full-fledged third row. The predecessor had both seats folding out from the side of the luggage compartment. Thanks to the raised roof, there is a great view from the second row of seats, which is especially appreciated by children. On the other hand, there is much less space in the "Disc" than in classic minivans. It is worth looking for diesel versions of the Td5 , which are a better choice than the gutted petrol eight-cylinder. The disadvantage is the higher prices, which easily exceed the hundred thousand mark.

Opel Zafira (1999 – 2005)

The compact seven-seater MPV is technically related to the Astra G and ranks among the very successful cars in its segment. In addition, the Zafira was the first Opel with the Flex7 system , which makes it unnecessary to physically remove the seats if there is a need to increase the luggage space. The seats disappear under the floor of the trunk in a few strokes. Another advantage is the abundance of versions , the price of which often starts at 30,000 crowns. For connoisseurs, there is an OPC version with 192 horsepower, which made the Zafira the fastest MPV in Europe at the time . Reliability is also proven by the fact that until 2012, the car under the Chevrolet brand was in production, for example, in Brazil.

Renault Espace (1996 – 2006)

It doesn't matter if you choose a model from the third or the beginning of the fourth generation , with both you get not only a spacious, but also a futuristic-looking interior with an instrument panel in the middle of the dashboard. The number of lockable storage compartments directly in the center console is also typical. The fourth generation, which is in production around 2001, will add a futuristic body, a larger portion of luxury and five stars in the Euro NCAP crash test. So it depends more on the preferences of individual clients. From time to time, you will find a gasoline engine in the offers of car dealers, but for a car of this category, a diesel dCi is much more suitable. You can also come across longer versions of the Grand.

Volvo V70 (1996–2000)

The least traditional seven-seater in our review is the first-generation Volvo V70 . Like every station wagon, it has five seats as standard, but two more temporary seats are hidden under the floor of the trunk. They sit against the direction of travel and, thanks to their limited height, are more suitable for children. Their disadvantage is also the limitation of the volume of the trunk. On the other hand, the advantage of the Swedish car is its famous reliability even with greater mileage. The recommendation is to look for a diesel with an automatic transmission.

Chrysler Voyager (1996–2004)

One of the forefathers of the entire minivan segment can be found within the specified limit not only in the third, but also in the slightly more modern fourth generation. Due to its American origin, it may be a somewhat debatable choice , but if you want the most amount of space for the cheapest possible price, you won't find many better cars. When buying, it is good to keep in mind the poor quality of plastics and only two stars in crash tests for generation number three and even only one for generation number four (it at least protects child passengers well). What pleases the wallet, on the other hand, is the fact that most models in this price range are equipped with a diesel engine and automatic transmission. You can also choose the slightly longer Grand design.
