Mercedes introduces the C-Class for the 2015 model year

It cannot be said that the current engine range of the Mercedes C-Class is too wide, but the Stuttgart-based carmaker wants to make it available to an even larger part of the customer spectrum. That's why the basic version C 160 is coming, but also the most powerful two-liter four-cylinder C 300.

The new basic building block of the offer is the petrol version C 160 with a sixteen-cylinder engine with a power of 129 hp and a torque of 210 Nm. This engine is paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission , with which the sedan can accelerate to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds (station wagon in 9.9 seconds) and consumes 5.2 l/100 km (station wagon 5.4 l/100 km). Prices in Germany start at 31,683.75 euros (approx. 867,000 crowns) for a sedan, or 33,349.75 euros (approx. 913,000 crowns) for a station wagon.

At the opposite end of the offer, we also find the C 300 petrol version with the most powerful modification of the two-liter four-cylinder with a power of 245 hp and a torque of 370 Nm. In combination with the 7G-Tronic Plus automatic, the sedan accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds (station wagon 6.1 seconds) and consumes 6.3 l/100 km (station wagon 6.4 l/100 km). The price of 43,702.75 euros (approx. 1,196,000 crowns) for the sedan and 45,368.75 euros (approx. 1,242,000 crowns) for the station wagon corresponds to a more sporty focus.

The C 200 version with a 184 hp two-liter four-cylinder engine and the C 220 d with a 170 hp 2.1-liter four-cylinder diesel engine can now also be paired with 4Matic all-wheel drive . The gasoline version starts at 41,441.75 euros (approx. 1,135,000 crowns), the diesel costs 43,702.75 euros (approx. 1,196,000 crowns).

In addition to the new power units, the range of additional equipment was also expanded. This now includes, for example, a head-up display, a touchpad for controlling infotainment, Mercedes-Benz connect me services, a heated steering wheel, new decorations or a wider range of safety assistants.
