Rally Bohemia – Kopecký and Hänninen at the start

Both SKODA Motorsport factory crews will be present at this year's Rally Bohemia , Kopecký and his navigator Pavel Dresler can also celebrate the Czech title in Boleslav.

The SKODA Motorsport team will present itself in full force at Rally Bohemia this coming weekend. Both the leading crew of the Czech championship, Jan Kopecký/Pavel Dresler, and the leaders of the European championship, Juho Hänninen/Mikko Markkula, will appear at the start. A true home battle awaits both crews in the vicinity of Mladá Boleslav, in the city of SKODA cars. At the same time, Kopecký and Dresler can celebrate the domestic title in the sixth competition of the Czech championship this year.

"The heart of the SKODA brand and also of the SKODA Motorsport team beats in Mladá Boleslav," says team boss Michal Hrabánek. "Mladá Boleslav is the cradle of the SKODA brand, where its first activities in the field of motorsport began 111 years ago. For these reasons, the start at Rally Bohemia represents something special for our team. The track will be lined with many fans, but also many of our colleagues who support motorsport with their work. We would like to offer them top performances and express our thanks in this way. The icing on the cake would be if we could celebrate Honza and Pavel's title together," adds the team boss.

Kopecký and Dresler have the best prospects for victory in the Czech Rally Championship. All five competitions so far have been won by the factory duo. Taking into account the famous record so far, Jan Kopecký is confident even before the sixth installment: "We want to present ourselves in the best possible light in Skoda's home environment, of course. Celebrating the title already in Mladá Boleslav would be an absolute dream for us. It will be no easy ride, 'Bohemka' is a tough competition. But we will do everything to finish on the podium.''

The second factory crew is also looking forward to the SKODA home competition: "Bohemia is a challenging but nice rally with fast sections," says Juho Hänninen, who won this competition twice in 2009 and 2010. "We have great memories of Bohemia and we want to finish this year as well as far forward as possible.'

Rally Bohemia is considered one of the most difficult and at the same time the most beautiful competitions in the Czech championship. 16 special stages and 197 sharp kilometers await the crews.
