Mitsubishi Motors already offers an LPG conversion on the popular ASX crossover, now comes with the same option on another model. "The Mitsubishi Outlander 2.0 MIVEC on LPG is the ideal solution for those who do not want to give up comfort, generous space
and the feeling of safety offered by a family SUV, but at the same time they will appreciate the economical operation of their car, " says Robin Babický , technical director of M Motors CZ . Compared to the classic gasoline variant, which Mitsubishi offers for 550,000 crowns, the customer will pay an additional 33,900 CZK including VAT , including installation of the LPG kit.
"The Outlander in Intense trim for 550,000 crowns is a fully equipped car: 7 airbags, dual-zone air conditioning, cruise control and light alloy wheels are proof of that ," adds Martin Krob , CEO of M Motors CZ . "We estimate that the return on investment in converting to LPG is between 30 and 40 thousand kilometers. After all, one liter of LPG is roughly half the price of the same amount of gasoline ."
The car manufacturer's warranty remains intact . Engine performance and driving characteristics, including the Auto Stop and Go function (automatic engine stop and start system), will not change with the conversion. Thanks to the second tank, the range of the vehicle is extended by up to 650 km, which in combination with a full tank of gasoline (volume 63 l) can mean an incredible 1400 km .
As with the ASX model, the manufacturer of the main components of the LPG kit is the renowned company Lovato . Special LPG injectors are used for accurate fuel dosing and reduced consumption. The tank with a capacity of 60 l (approximately 85% of the tank volume can be filled with gas) is located under the floor of the luggage compartment, refueling under the lid of the original fuel tank. The amount of LPG remaining in the tank is shown by LEDs on the control button, which also enables switching between the two fuels.
