A new European Grand Prix will enrich the Formula 1 calendar next year. But the word new doesn't really fit here, because Bernie Ecclestone officially confirmed the return to Austria , where it was last raced in 2003.
At that time, the circuit was called A1-Ring . But a lot has changed since then, including the owner of the circuit. This became the Red Bull company headed by billionaire Dietrich Mateschitz.

The fixed date of the New Year's Grand Prix is not yet known, the media is speculating about the sixth of July.
At the same time, Bernie Ecclestone admitted that there will not be more than twenty races next year. However, with the planned arrival of Russia, Austria and New Jersey, we reach number 22.
