Mika Hakkinen is back in the carousel of Formula 1!

Martin Withmarsh , the head of McLaren F1 , could no longer stand his driving pair consisting of Sergio Pérez and Jenson Button . That's why he dusted off his old contacts and in the next few days he will announce a real bomb to the world!

With the help of Ron Dennis , the former head of McLaren F1 and today the head of the road division of McLaren, he was able to convince two experienced drivers who had already raced for McLaren to return! And they are no smaller names than Finn Mika Hakkinen and Scotsman David Coulthard .

At first Hakkinen avoided questions about his future, but in the end he gave the Finnish press the divine: "Yes, I can confirm that I am in contact with McLaren. We are intensively discussing my return to the cockpit.” And what exactly inspired him to think about returning? "Michael Schumacher," he answered unequivocally. “His signing for Mercedes in 2009 was the impetus for me to consider a return. And now there is an opportunity!'

The Scottish fighter was not so cooperative. He commented on the whole situation for the BBC as follows: "At the moment I don't want to talk about anything like that. I only recently finished the DTM and now I want to spend at least the holidays with my family."

And how does Martin Withmarsh himself comment?: "I would definitely like to see both of them in the cockpit again. I have no doubt that both David and Mika would show the world how to drive in Formula 1."

How about you, would you welcome both veteran fighters back into the starting lineup?
