The Mazda MX-5 GT is heading to Goodwood

Japanese automaker Mazda will reveal its latest MX-5 GT concept at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed .

This Miatka with perfect orange paint should become a road spec racing special that regularly participates in GT4 circuit championships. Unfortunately, in this case we cannot expect outputs above 200 kW. The concept is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with an output of 153 kW (205 hp), which represents a very respectable 45 hp increase over the current versions. We have to wait for the official unveiling of the concept for other technical specifications.

Until then, we can look forward to a really attractive body design. The basis is the already mentioned orange paint, which contrasts with the carbon fiber body kit. A new front bumper with a lollipop, fender and sill extensions, or a rear diffuser with a centrally located double end of the sports exhaust system cannot be missing.

At the festival of speed, the carmaker wants to monitor visitors' reactions to this concept. From this it can be concluded that he is thinking about real serial production and everything depends only on the interest of motoring fans and potential interested parties. I can say for myself that I would like to see this version of the Miata on the road every day.
