Land Rover has prepared several changes for the 2016 model year Discovery Sport . The most interesting one is the introduction of the Dynamic design package . However, off-road capabilities or technological sophistication have also improved.
The Discovery Sport Dynamic is distinguished from the regular versions by Narvik Black door moldings and panels, 19-inch wheels in Satin Dark Gray or 20-inch wheels in Gloss Black. The interior received aluminum pedals, contrasting stitching and decors in the body color.
The off-road capabilities of the British SUV are strengthened by the All Terrain Progress Control system, ATPC for short. This allows you to set and maintain the speed when driving off-road, while in the range of 2 to 30 km/h it functions similarly to cruise control and adapts the behavior of the car to the given terrain. ATPC also includes a launch-focused function that allows the car to start smoothly and easily even on problematic low-adhesion surfaces such as ice, snow or wet grass. Another new feature is the Active Driveline function, which can seamlessly switch between two- and four-wheel drive.
The extensive range of technologies is complemented by the touchless control of the luggage compartment lid , which can be closed or opened with the movement of the legs. The Adaptive Dynamics system with MagneRide shock absorbers will be available for an additional fee, the main task of which is to improve the grip and overall driving characteristics of the Discovery Sport. Thanks to this system, the Terrain Response drive mode selector gets a new Dynamic mode.
