Lamborghini showed off the Huracán for circuit racing

At the headquarters of Lamborghini in the Italian city of Sant'Agata Bolognese , a new racing special was unveiled yesterday, which will be presented in the Blancpain series of endurance races during the year.

The Huracán GT3 was created according to FIA regulations, which requires the installation of a protective cage , a fire extinguisher or a special roof system for leaving the cabin as quickly as possible in the event of an accident. The chassis consists of carbon and aluminum , both subframes were also modified. Speaking of technology, under the hood is a 5.2- liter 10-cylinder engine that has undergone a number of modifications, working with a six-speed sequential gearbox and racing clutch. All-wheel drive replaced pure rear-axle drive (42:58 weight distribution), which certainly helped save a few kilograms. The resulting weight of the racing Huracán is thus 1239 kg .

The body is made of composite materials , the key elements are an adjustable front spoiler, extended fenders and sills, a rear diffuser with impressive dual exhaust tips and of course an adjustable rear wing . However, side wings, modified hood or fenders with outlets for excess air also have a positive effect on aerodynamics. The wheels wear Pirelli tires measuring 315/680 at the front and 325/705 at the rear, behind which are hidden racing brakes. In addition to the cage and fire extinguisher, the interior also received a carbon racing seat and a multifunction steering wheel.

The first race of the Huracán GT3 will take place in April at the Italian Monza , its price for potential buyers is 369,000 euros (approx. 10.3 million crowns).
