The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee will receive a facelift and an eight-speed transmission

The American car manufacturer Jeep has prepared a significantly facelifted off-road model of the current generation Grand Cherokee for 2014. Perhaps the most significant changes took place in the front and rear. According to the attached photos, the grille is significantly redesigned and its design is reminiscent of the Chrysler 300C . A new radiator grille with a modified design appears on the front, together with a new front bumper and headlights with LED technology. LED taillights and a modified bumper are installed in the rear of the car.

The interior features a redesigned center console with new controls. There is also a touch screen of the multimedia system with a diagonal of 5, or 8.4″. The multifunctional steering wheel , the automatic transmission selector and the new instrument panel, which boasts a 7″ color display with TFT technology, have also undergone changes.

An important change for 2014 will be the introduction of a new engine into the range. The facelifted Grand Cherokee will get a turbocharged 3.0 V6 diesel engine that will be standard on the Limited version. Average consumption should be around 7.8 l/100 km. The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee will also be available with this engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The prices and the exact release date of the facelifted Jeep Grand Cherokee are not yet known.
