Honda introduced a new hybrid sedan for Japan

The City small sedan, derived from the Honda Jazz , was not a success in the European market in its fourth and fifth editions. That's why the Japanese automaker didn't even bring its sixth sequel to the Old Continent. Instead, however, she went with him to Japan, where he was given the name Grace and a hybrid drive under the hood.

The 108-horsepower petrol engine is combined with a 30-horsepower electric motor in the small sedan, and the entire system transmits power to the front or all wheels using the dual-clutch i-DCD automatic transmission . Incidentally, the same powertrain can also be found in the Honda Fit Hybrid, on which the 4.4-meter-long sedan is based.

In terms of design, Grace from City will be recognized only by connoisseurs – a thin chrome line has been added to the front mask, modified bumpers have better aerodynamics, 15-inch or 16-inch wheels have received a design for better air flow, as well as tires with lower rolling resistance. But that's where the changes end. It should also be noted that compared to, say, the fourth edition of the Honda City, the novelty looks really new.

The interior received an instrument panel with blue coloring of the alarm clocks , and the automatic transmission selector, which we also know from other hybrid Hondas, will not be missing. The equipment is divided into DX, LX and EX grades . ESP, ABS, traction control, air conditioning, LED rear lights or an on-board computer are already included in the base. Higher levels add, for example, leather upholstery, LED front lights , navigation or keyless access to the car and starting.
