Honda Jazz – Third generation officially

The Honda Jazz is not one of the hottest cars in the automotive world, so the automaker didn't keep us excited for long with the introduction of the third generation of the model, and with the first information, it also released a rich photo gallery.

The new generation of Honda Jazz has retained only the shape of the body from its predecessors, but its design is taking a completely new path . The Jazz now looks more aggressive, which is due to the sharp edges of the body and large openings in the front and rear bumpers. The interior of the car is also completely new .

The photos below the article show the Japanese version of the car, but we assume that the European version will not be too different. As for engines, the automaker will offer three units on its home market – the weakest one has a volume of 1.3 liters and a power of 100 hp , a stronger 1.5 liter has 132 hp , and the top will be a hybrid model with a 1.5 liter working in the Atkinson cycle.

The Jazz Hybrid will be the first model to feature the Sport Hybrid Intelligent Dual Clutch Drive ( i-DCD ) system, which combines a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with a built-in engine and an IPU unit with a built-in lithium-ion battery. The stated consumption of the Jazz Hybrid is 2.7 liters per 100 kilometers. Driving is possible in three modes – electric, hybrid and classic.

More information about the car and its European version, including the price, will be revealed in the coming months. The third generation Honda Jazz will go on sale first in the Japanese market from September this year. The European and North American markets will follow.
