Dacia presented a racing version of the Logan sedan

Despite the fact that Dacia cars are designed with a feeling for even the smallest savings, Romanians also try to engage in motor sports . After Duster No Limits , which went to the start of the famous Pikes Peak race, Dacia is trying to break into circuit racing .

And as the first finish line, the STCC touring car series , translated as the Scandinavian touring car championship, was set. The second generation of the Logan sedan , of which there really wasn't much left, served as the base car.

The car has been lowered overall, practically every body panel is new, and on top of that there is also a massive rear wing. Perhaps the only identifying sign is the front lights. And lest you think that the STCC is the championship of some rally cars, the Logan will compete with such calibers as the Chevrolet Cruze, Seat Leon or BMW 320i , all of which would most likely pass without any problems at the start of the top WTCC series.

Under the hood, there was a place for a six-cylinder engine that has an output of over 400 horsepower . A six-speed sequential gearbox sends power to the rear wheels. We don't have the dynamic parameters yet, but when I say that the weight of the car will not exceed 1100 kg , you will probably agree that it looks more than good.

Swedish racer Mattias Andersson will drive the blue Logan in Dacia's war livery and the first race will take place on the weekend of May 3rd and 4th at the track in Knutstorp.
