Three-seater cars with a double arrow in the emblem are among the constants of the Chinese market. For example, in the lower middle class it currently offers the C-Quatre, C-Elysée and C4L models. And the current novelty, the 4.55-meter-long C4 Sedan , will be among the last two named.
Its design is perhaps surprisingly conservative for a Citroën. There are even pictures circulating on the Internet, mistaking the logo on the front fascia for that of Volkswagen, which is supposed to draw attention to the excessive similarity with "people's cars". In a certain sense, one could agree – above all, the darkened lights, which are followed by the radiator grille, are remotely reminiscent of the German manufacturer's models. The decent character of the front parts is only disturbed by the LED daytime running lights in the bumper. The rear lights create the impression of a three-dimensional effect with their optics, while they are connected by a massive chrome strip.
The cabin is noticeably more imaginative, the avant-garde Chinese will certainly like the instrument panel with interestingly shaped analog dials in a silver frame. The center console is dominated by the seven-inch display of the Citroën Connect multimedia system, which offers, among other things, internet connection.
In the engine range, the main star is the turbocharged THP 1200 with 136 horsepower, which is complemented by the naturally aspirated sixteen with 117 horsepower and its turbocharged sister with 163 horsepower. The front wheels are driven via a manual or automatic six-wheel drive. A large percentage of the bodywork is made of high-strength steel, which not only helps with safety, but also with handling.
Production will take place at the Dongfeng Citroën factory in Wuhan .
