Chevrolet Corvette 67 – A timeless classic

New Jersey native Steve Lanson inherited his father's love of cars as a child. Ever since then, he likes to admire their shapes and take pictures of them. He always knew he would buy a classic car and now his dream has come true. Already in 2012, he started looking for the right veteran for his pleasure. He was looking for cars from 1967, the year he was born. He also thought about a Mustang or a Camaro , but then decided on a Corvette Sting Ray . In addition, this model is also valued as a collector's item today. Of course, he originally chose versions with a big block engine, which are more valuable. But after some advice from Corvette specialists, he decided on a small block , which is more reliable and handles better.

After many months of searching, he discovered one silver specimen in California . It was sold by car restoration specialists as one of their jobs. The renovation was complete and lasted eighteen months. As the car was leveled in June, it was one of the very last Sting Ray models produced. As soon as Steve saw the photos, he knew he had to have this car. When his dream was at home, he started touring the local Cars & Coffee gatherings with it, where he met the High Octane South Jersey crew. And since then they regularly meet and discuss cars.

The nostalgic feeling of driving an old car is great. It's nice to drive a modern car with all that comfort, but once you get behind the wheel of a '67 Corvette without an airbag and look around, all you see are a few necessities and a radio. However, you will never want to get off. Turn the key and you'll hear a rumble from the side-mounted exhausts. Nothing in the world is so beautiful. Steve really enjoys this and also likes to see the joy in the eyes of others that his car captures. He often sees thumbs up, and at intersections, someone often rolls down the window and asks him about his dream car. When he drives, he feels like he's back in 1967. No other car can offer him that feeling.
