The BMW M6 Gran Coupe will be deployed as a Safety Car for MotoGP races

With the beginning of spring, there is also a new season of MotoGP races, where the best riders compete against each other on ultra-fast racing motorcycles. For this year's prestigious race, the German BMW presented a completely new safety car based on the recently introduced BMW M6 Gran Coupe model.

After all, BMW has been a partner of the MotoGP races for a long time, so in addition to the new safety car, we will also see a medical car in the form of the BMW 550d . On the other hand, the new BMW M6 Gran Coupe safety car is in a completely different league, which is already evident when looking at the car's exterior. It has the typical three-color livery of the M division and a large number of beacons. So that the new safety car is not a brake on the circuit, under its hood hides a turbocharged eight-cylinder gasoline engine with a power of 560 hp and a torque of 680 Nm. The engine works with a standard dual-clutch transmission with the option of shifting using paddles under the steering wheel. This ensures the new M6 Gran Coupe accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds . The maximum speed is limited to 305 km/h.

Carbon-ceramic drilled discs ensure a safe stop. The car is equipped with black cast 20" wheels, an Akrapovič exhaust system and a large amount of technology is placed in the interior for communication with the plant executives. The new safety car in the form of the BMW M6 Gran Coupe will also attract to the screens that part of the fans who otherwise have absolutely no interest in MotoGP races.
