Starting with the opening competition of the Czech Rally Championship (MČR), the competitiveness of the new rally special should be tested all over the world this year. In addition, Skoda Motorsport will field this top-of-the-line all-wheel drive car in selected World Rally Championship (WRC) competitions in the WRC-2 category and, during the season, also in the Asia-Pacific Championship (APRC). At the premiere, however, attention will be focused on the Skoda brand's homeland.
In accordance with the location of the competition, the car will be driven by a Czech crew at the world premiere: reigning APRC champion and experienced rally driver Jan Kopecký and his co-driver Pavel Dresler will go to the Šumava Klatovy Rally with a competition car with a new 1.6 liter turbo engine. " We are, of course, very proud that we are the ones who can start the next chapter in the successful rally history of the Skoda brand, " says Kopecký , who last won this rally in 2012. Twelve special stages with a length of 150.71 are on the program of the anniversary year km.
