James Glickenhaus presents a new supersport of his own

James Glickenhaus is a relatively well-known figure in American film of the 80s and 90s, having produced, directed or written several of them. The subconscious of a car fan most likely registered it in connection with the Ferrari P4/5 Pininfarina , which is actually a lightweight Enzo with a different body, or the racing P4/5 Competizione based on the Ferrari F430, which, however, officially had nothing to do with the prancing horse. Now that same person and investor is back with his very own SCG (Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus) 003 supercar .

There will be two versions, the road SCG 003S (Stradale) and the circuit SCG 003C (Competizione). However, according to James Glickenhaus, both versions are so technically linked that it is not a problem to turn the road into a racing one and vice versa. For example, both models have a carbon chassis or a rear carbon frame carrying the suspension. The shape of the racing model is the responsibility of the creator of the Peugeot 905 and 908 Paolo Catone , who was inspired by the LMP1/LMP2 classes. With two pieces, the brand wants to start this year's 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, and in 2017 it should apply for a place in Le Mans as well!

Inside the race-spec guts is Honda's 3.5-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder, producing 530bhp at 6800rpm with 700Nm of torque at 4500rpm. The 1,350 kg weight is distributed in a ratio of 49:51, while power is transmitted to the 18-inch wheels with Dunlop tires by a Hewland six-speed sequential gearbox . Pushrod type suspension can be found on all four wheels, and it is also supplemented with adjustable KW shock absorbers.

We have much less information about the road version , the sale of which will start at the end of this year at the earliest. As already mentioned, the basis is the same carbon chassis and shapes inspired by racing models, which, however, differ from the circuit version. At first glance at the gray bodywork, one could even say that it is a combination of a Ferrari Enzo and a Lamborghini Veneno. Inside the car should be a self-developed six-cylinder twin-turbo with an output of around 600 horsepower, but according to Glickenhaus, the customer can choose almost any other engine. The weight should not exceed 1100 kg, but the price will be around an astronomical 2.1 million euros (approx. 57.3 million crowns). The racing version is supposed to be an additional 750,000 – 1,000,000 euros (approx. 20.4 – 27.3 million crowns) more expensive…
