Ford Fiesta R2 – New for rallying

The new Ford Fiesta R2 rally special is powered by a three-cylinder liter EcoBoost . It is the first time that the FIA has homologated a three-cylinder engine in this category. The car was developed from a regular three-door Fiesta in the workshops of the M-Sport company, but the gearbox, brakes and shock absorbers are different. Engine power is 170 horsepower. The first start should be the Portugal rally in May.

The combination of a new turbocharged engine and a proven car should ensure a continuation of the winning streak in the R2 class. The Fiesta R2 represents the first global rally car that has been on the tracks since 2010. It is a suitable tool for entering the rally, after which you can continue with the top version of the R5 . The DMACK Fiesta Trophy will then start in Portugal, which will also be held in Finland , Poland , Spain and Germany . The winner of the cup will get the chance to compete in seven World Championship events with the Fiesta R5
