Lexus GS 350 F SPORT – New safety car for the Australian circuit

You will not meet a safety car that is not made in Germany on famous, especially European circuits. Why yes? A lot of performance, great sound and, above all, a proper advertisement that always impresses more than one mobile person interested in an exclusive beast. In Australia , they took the opposite route and purchased a Japanese-made limousine for Motorsport Park in Sydney .

Lexus introduced the fourth-generation GS model last summer, and that morning most of the motoring-minded public sat on their asses. The GS 350 F SPORT version was chosen for the Australian circuit, which represents a brilliant choice in terms of sporty looks, elegance and power. I know it. At the beginning of July, as one of the first journalists in the Czech Republic, I tested the pedaled version of the GS 450h F SPORT , and to this day the car is a frequent participant in my sweet dreams.

But back to the safety car . The Australians did not interfere in any way with the shapes of the perfect parts of the Lexus GS and only dramatically colored it to distinguish it. Even the original 19" F SPORT alloy wheels were retained, so only a roof-mounted ramp with beacons was added.

There is no doubt that the Lexus GS 350 will be able to keep up on the circuit even with inflated racers, trying their best to maintain the ideal temperature of their tires. Under the hood of the " géésa" is a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated six-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 228 kW and a torque of 375 Nm. Thanks to a weight of around 1700 kilograms, the limousine accelerates from rest to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 250 km/h. All power is sent to the rear axle through a six-speed automatic.
