Alfa Romeo Giulia GT Junior 1600 – A trapped beast

Sebastiaan Bleuanus from the Netherlands grew up with his very skilled father, from whom he inherited his technical talents and later studied engineering. When he got married a few years ago, he decided to get a light powerful good looking car. An older Alfa Romeo met such criteria, and he found one while surfing the Internet. Last year he decided to modify it for amateur veteran competitions. He had already completed them before with his LSIS ( Lotus Seven Inspired Roadster ), but he lost it during a winter rally in the Czech Republic . The Giulia thus received a protective frame, better shock absorbers, additional Hella headlights and sports seats, and the young couple could go to the toughest races in Europe. So, of course, the car also needed repairs, for example complete rust removal on the bodywork. Sebastiaan has already completed two shorter one-day competitions with the car and one big Belgian one near the French border. Despite a lot of complications, they did not do badly on that one. Unfortunately, they were eventually taken out by a water pump failure. It was only repaired the next day, but Sebastiaan is now determined to start racing next year with much more vigor
