We have already informed you that Toyota is likely to return to the World Rally Championship. In addition to the Yaris WRC prototype, which is being diligently tested, a competition special based on the GT86 coupe was also developed. Its full name is the Toyota GT86 CS-R3 , so it is clear that its competitors will mostly be front-wheel drive Citroën DS3 R3T or Renault Clio R3 . However, Toyota will keep rear-wheel drive and a two-liter naturally aspirated boxer for the race tuned to 250 horsepower. The prototype will be presented to spectators at the ADAC Rally Deutschland . Isolde Holderied , the 1994 PCWRC (World Production Car Championship) multiple champion, will be behind the wheel.
