Volkswagen revealed a rallycross special

The American rallycross championship Red Bull Global Rallycross (abbreviated GRC) probably does not have many fans in the Czech Republic. Nevertheless, the newcomer at the start of these races, the Volkswagen Beetle GRC , could interest you.

And it's not even a modified body with a more aggressive bumper, vented hood, aerodynamic mirrors , side intakes and a large rear wing. Even the 17-inch wheels with Yokohama tires, behind which the ventilated brake discs are hidden, are not to blame.

The real gem is under the hood. The turbocharged 16-liter TSI has a power of 551 horsepower , and in cooperation with all-wheel drive and a six-speed sequential transmission, it allows you to reach 96 km/h (60 mph) in 2.1 seconds ! In addition, the minimum weight of the car according to the rules of the championship is only 1210 kg.

Tanner Foust and former Formula 1 pilot Scott Speed will sit behind the wheel during the car's premiere this weekend. So they have definitely taken care of the entertainment.
