Toyota modernized the Passo model

I bet you that you have never heard of Toyota Passo . Even for a European , however, this car is very interesting, especially after the current facelift . As the first ever Toyota, the Passo will receive a new generation gasoline engine .

In the Pass, it has a volume of 1.0 liters (it will also be available as a 1.3) and a power of 69 hp. Its main charm lies in the improved thermal efficiency of the combustion process , which has been achieved by increasing the compression ratio, optimizing valve timing, reducing friction or recirculating cold exhaust gases. The result is a consumption of 3.6 l/100 km , which is the best value in the gasoline car segment in Japan, and at the same time, thanks to it, the owner does not have to pay any taxes related to the car. The engine emits 84 g of CO2 per 1 km. Part of the drive unit, which sends power to the front or all wheels , is also a stop/start system, which switches off the engine when braking already at a speed of 9 km/h.

However, the facelift wasn't just about the new engine, so the Passo got electric mirrors, a new front fascia and lights , both of which differ depending on the version. The Passo + Hana boasts a more aggressive bow shaping with a lower mask, while the Passo G and Passo X they have a mask placed higher and with round fog lights closer to the mask they do not look as aggressive. The G package is available for the Passo X and Passo + Hana models, which offers, for example, a different finish for the controls of the ventilation outlets or the interior door handles. There is also a version for the disabled with the designation Welcab .
