Kia is heading to Geneva with a modernized Sportage SUV

After America and Asia, the Kia Sportage SUV manufactured in Žilina will also receive a decent facelift in Europe. In addition to a slightly modernized exterior, we will see better sound insulation and interior.

You can recognize the exterior of the modernized SUV thanks to the LED diodes in the rear lights (it also offers a 3D effect) and the new structure of the front mask . The offer of sixteen-, seventeen- or eighteen-inch wheels has also undergone changes.

In addition to classically higher quality materials, the interior will see a new Supervision instrument panel with a 4.2- inch TFT LCD display . Compared to its predecessor, the sound insulation of the car is also better, mainly thanks to the sound-insulating glass of the front window , which reduces aerodynamic noise, and improved "key structures of the car." The equipment includes a better audio system, as well as the Kia FlexSteer power steering.

Under the hood, a two-liter gasoline engine was replaced, which from now on bears the name GDI and offers 166 hp and 205 Nm. Along with higher performance, consumption also increased – to 7.8 l/100 km. The new engine is available with a six-speed manual or an equally graduated automatic and front- or all-wheel drive . The rest of the menu should remain unchanged.
