Tata introduced the Nano Twist Active concept

It has been an incredible six years since the super-cheap Tata Nano was first introduced to the world. During that time, this car received a European variant , it was enough to be engulfed by an affair with fires and, last but not least, it also failed to meet the manufacturer's expectations in terms of sales.

However, at the ongoing New Delhi Motor Show, Tata is showing how it would like to remedy the rather poor sales of the small model. The Nano Twist Active Concept shows what the upcoming design facelift will look like. We will see a new grille , connecting the headlights, new bumpers and also new body colors.

By far the biggest change, however, took place in the rear of the car. Nano Twist Active received an openable trunk lid , which dramatically improves the practicality of the model and brings a handle to the fifth door for easier opening.

Inside, work was mainly done on the materials and the overall coordination of colors , which should be significantly better now. For the first time, the Nano is also equipped with electronic power steering , drum brakes on all wheels.

A little further, Tata surprised with the Nano Twist F-Tronic concept, which also has the design elements of the Twist Active concept, as well as the rear opening fifth door, but is also equipped with a five-speed F-Tronic robotic transmission . On the production of the gearbox, Tata collaborated with the Italian company Magneti Marelli , which also supplies technology for F1, which is of course not missing from the press statement. The transmission itself is said to be 15-20 percent more economical than classic automatics.
