Faster version of Praga R1

The Praga R1 , a racing car created in Slovakia , has only a name in common with the classic Czech car manufacturer. Otherwise, the model is the work of the development team behind the sports model K1 Attack and arms exporter Praga Export .

After last year's presentation of the Praga R1 , which this year is being tested and is participating in some races under the FIA banner, the team's engineers installed a turbocharger and an intercooler under the hood.

These innovations help to get 140 hp more from the four-cylinder RenaultSport than in the "normal" model (210 vs. 350 hp). What is the result of this operation? At the Slovakiaring, the R1 Turbo is 10 seconds faster than the non-turbocharged version and with a time of 1:58.42 s , according to the manufacturer, it is even 3 seconds faster than the FIA GT1 and GT3 class cars.

During the tests, the prototype reached a maximum speed of 248 km/h at the end of the main straight, the overload in the corners reached a value of 2.4 g.
