Citroën will introduce a number of new products over the coming months and years

Big changes await Citroën's model range . In addition to the new division of forces (series C and DS), it will also feature many new features. The serial version of the city SUV Cactus will be the first to arrive, followed by new products from the DS series .

All this was revealed to Autocar by Pierre Monferrini , the person responsible for the C series models. As the first novelty, the final form of the Cactus concept from this year's Frankfurt Motor Show should reach the market. The urban SUV segment is one of the fastest growing in Europe, and the double arrow is not yet operating here: "SUV segment B is of course important to us. Although we are partially represented here by the C3 Picasso, you will see the results of our work in the future," said Monferrini.

In addition to the small SUV, the same person also confirmed the series production of the DS Wild Rubis concept , which was presented in Shanghai this year. We don't have much information about the SUV yet, so the only good news so far is the fact that there is a chance of selling this model in Europe as well . However, the SUV will not remain alone in the new DS series – the French carmaker is preparing a successor to the luxury sedan C6 . It will no longer be a classic Citroën, but will be transformed into a combination of hatchback and sedan of the DS series . This should raise the car's competitiveness in the upper middle class.

Despite falling sales, the successor will be the C5 series , which will become part of the upcoming C series. The smallest model in the range will continue to be the C1 , which is manufactured in Cologne in the current generation. The small Citroën would continue to be produced in the Central Bohemian city, and cooperation with Toyota would also be maintained.
