News in the Mercedes E-Class range

The boundaries of automotive design are constantly shifting. Until relatively recently, the maximum was a six-speed automatic transmission . Automakers have gradually added the seventh gear , and it is now starting to reach the eighth gear as well. But Mercedes goes even further when it offers a nine-speed automatic !

The E 350 BlueTec model will be the first to receive the new 9G-Tronic transmission. The nine-speed automatic will replace the older seven-speed automatic and will help improve fuel consumption in particular. In the city, the new version claims about 6.4 l/100 km, outside the city about 4.7 l/100 km and in combination about 5.3 l/100 km . This means an improvement of 0.5 l/100 km in the city or 0.2 l/100 km in the combined cycle. Dynamically, the "E" will not improve – acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes the same 6.6 seconds. The price, which is set at 1,344,310 CZK on the Czech market, remains the same.

But the automatic is not the only novelty in the offer of the recently modernized E class . The E 220 BlueEfficiency Edition version also received a gearbox change. The six-speed manual replaced the seven-speed 7G-Tronic automatic . Thanks to this, consumption fell from 4.7 l/100 km to 4.4 l/100 km and CO2 emissions from 132 g/km to 114 g/km. The engine will also meet the Euro 6 emission standard. The basic price on our market has not changed – it remains at 1,160,390 CZK .

The latest news is the E 200 NGD version, which offers the same powertrain as the MPV B 200 NGD . That means a turbocharged 2.0 four-cylinder with 154 horsepower and 269 Nm of torque, capable of burning natural gas . The combined consumption is 4.3 kg of gas/100 km, which means some 6.3 l of petrol/100 km. The basic price is CZK 1,160,390 .
