The sporty Ford Focus ST got a diesel engine for the first time ever. But the XCars editors didn't choose it for testing. On the other hand, they liked the two-liter four-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower, which gets it from standstill to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. Otherwise, the ST received the Stop-start system, thanks to which the indicated consumption fell to 6.8 liters per 100 kilometers and the production of CO2 emissions to 158 grams per kilometer.
That's not bad for a family hatchback . Even a quarter of a century ago, similar values were reserved for expensive Italian super sports . But now almost everyone can enjoy them. In addition, even the ride will be better, because thanks to the modified chassis, you will get along with the car more easily.
