Already in some of them it is impossible to get anywhere comfortably. Prague
If you guessed that Prague would be the worst in terms of traffic, then you are right. In the list of domestic cities, this is really a city where it pays to use public transport. However, those who still decide to buy a car and drive around Prague on a regular basis should arm themselves with a lot of patience. Yes, you will basically spend a whole day in queues if you choose the car as the main means of transport.
Czech Budejovice
If your tip for the second worst city in terms of traffic was connected to Brno, then it's a big mistake. It is definitely not Brno, as České Budějovice is in second place. This is mainly due to the fact that several intersections are regularly full during rush hours, which subsequently has a negative effect in the need to wait in queues for a long time. If you were to drive around Budějovice regularly throughout the year, the time you would wait in traffic jams would add up to a total of 19 hours. Even this is a number that we must clearly state is quite high.
Brno
This city is in third place. Perhaps also because the traffic here has been dealt with for a long time, and thus the main bypass can make it significantly easier. However, anyone who has traveled to Brno in the past knows that it was not that easy. Especially after that, the direction to Svitavy was definitely not easy, as the main drop-off basically led through the wider center, which was a problem. Now the situation is much better, which does not mean that Brno is perfect in terms of transport. Definitely not. We have him in third place. Hradec Králové
Things are not rosy in this town either. And this despite the fact that it is quite unique, as it has two city circuits that go around the entire city. This can greatly facilitate traffic, especially if we are talking about the possibility of getting in different directions. Nevertheless, Hradec Králové is in fourth place. This is mainly influenced by the traffic on the inner city ring road, where there is no honey during peak hours. Traffic on the main arteries is also congested at peak times, due to several intersections. So anyone who plans to drive regularly to Hradec Králové should be patient. That's because during the year it's a full 15 hours that you will spend here as a specific person. And that is also quite enough.
Pardubice
We will not leave the East of Bohemia just yet. Right near Hradec Králové is Pardubice. Even if the transport system here is not as perfectly thought out as in Hradec, due to the bypass it is not so bad here. But at the same time, it's not good at all. Especially in cases where the main bypass cannot be used and it will be necessary to head directly into the city. In this case, prepare for spikes. And so big that during the year you will stand in line for about fourteen hours, which is really quite enough. Among other things, various new modifications have an influence on this. An example is a shopping center near a hockey arena, where traffic often collapses. But there is also a problem with the local reconstructed railway station – i.e. the area in front of it, which has rather made traffic more difficult than easing it in any way.
Pilsen
A well-known city not only because of monuments or beer. It is also known to motorists because they have to think about the fact that traffic in the city is definitely not as rosy as it might seem at first glance. If we take a closer look at what can await you here, it is mainly standing in many columns. Although Pilsen is not doing so badly from the point of view of the above-mentioned cities, it is not doing very well either. This is because if you drive through Pilsen regularly throughout the year, the time you will wait in the queue will be around thirteen hours. This is still quite a lot, so it is often worth using alternative transport services. In the form of city bus lines.
Liberec
If you visit Liberec and go around it on the ring road and continue on, or if you head along the ring road towards Jablonec, you will definitely be impressed by how smooth and smooth the ride will be. But once you get down to the city itself, it's not so rosy anymore. It is necessary to say that transport is certainly not perfectly resolved in many places. If we look at the main risky places, we have to start at the center of Babylon, where really big queues form at peak times. And the visitors of this place themselves contribute to them. If you manage to get through, in a few moments the city transport terminal awaits you, i.e. Fugnerova, where traffic is also not rosy. Mainly these places have an effect on the fact that during regular trips to Liberec you will wait in queues for around twelve hours.
