The current Lada offers, mainly for the Russian market, the Largus, Granta , Kalina, Priora , Samara and 4×4 models. By 2017, the production program is to be enriched with five new models , which will either complement or replace existing models.
The sedan codenamed 2180 will be the first to hit the market. It will replace the recently modernized Priora in the model range, which came to the market already in 2007. The model is currently under development , with production starting in 2015.
Another new model will be a more luxuriously designed hatchback , most likely based on the 2180 sedan. Its production could begin in 2015, thus about a year ahead of the small crossover , heading to the currently very popular market category.
A class higher will be a crossover based on the X-Ray concept . It will be presented sometime in 2015 and will become the most expensive model in the range of the Russian car company. The year 2017 should mark the end of the current version of the off-road model 4×4 (formerly Niva). The successor will most likely be an SUV, which will not drive as much as the Niva, but could enjoy good sales among the clientele.
