Power of 395 horsepower, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds – these are the parameters of the new extreme Golf , which definitely surpasses the basic Golf R. At the same time, it will retain the 4Motion all-wheel drive with the Haldex system and the same turbocharged two-liter engine used by the classic Golf R. The automaker has confirmed that the car will get a six-speed DSG transmission . However, the turbocharger has been modified, which now ensures a higher filling pressure. The power thus increased to 294 kW and the torque to 450 Nm, thanks to which the speed increased to 280 km/h.
The modifications do not avoid the appearance either, new bumpers, front carbon underspoiler and extended fenders that resemble the Golf Rallye G60 and widened the car by 20 mm on each side. There are also new nineteen-inch alloy wheels and modified alcantara sports seats stitched with yellow thread. The paintwork will be two-tone, the main silver metallic will be complemented by contrasting yellow elements. These will also be used in the interior. Thanks to carbon parts and a lightweight interior, the weight of the car should not exceed 1420 kg. The automaker confirmed that this concept will go into production.
