The German tuning company and at the same time racing team Heico Sportiv released the first pictures of the modification of the attractive Volvo V40 hatchback these days . There isn't too much information, but let's summarize everything we know so far.
The basis of the modification of this beautiful red Volvo is an optical package including a slightly modified front bumper, a rear bumper with an integrated diffuser and four tailpipes of the exhaust system. We also cannot forget the seven-spoke light alloy wheels. However, the real customization starts under the hood!
This is where the T5 drive unit is hidden, which in the basic configuration offers a maximum output of 177 kW (240 hp) and 320 Nm of torque. Thanks to an enlarged intake, a new sports exhaust system and a new control unit, the output of the power unit could jump by another 30 hp to a final 198 kW (270 hp) and 365 Nm of torque. How did the vehicle dynamics respond to this increase in power? The maximum speed increased by a negligible 5 km/h. And acceleration? Unfortunately, Heico Sportiv kept this information to itself.
