Volvo is developing a new V40 Polestar

We have already informed you about Volvo 's plans to launch the V40 model in a sharp version developed with Polestar . It looks like the Swedish competitor to the Focus RS will get a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a power of 315 hp., which comes from the future generation XC90 SUV. However, this will combine it with an electric motor. Thanks to the powerful drive unit, the V40 Polestar could accelerate to 100 km/h in less than 6 seconds. The maximum speed will be approximately 250 km/h. Of course, the rest of the car has to adapt to such performances, changes cannot be avoided in the steering, brakes or chassis. Apparently, as with the V60 Polestar , we will see bigger brakes from the Brembo company, all-wheel drive or shock absorbers from the Ohlins company. All-wheel drive with the Haldex system has already appeared in the C30 Polestar concept, and it is offered in the Cross Country version of the V40 model. The price of the V40 Polestar could be around one million crowns.
